Olinda Valencia Oranges

Olinda Valencia (VI 242) originated as a chance seedling of Valencia orange found by H. J. Webber and L. D. Batchelor of the Citrus Research Center in the yard of O. Smith at Olinda in 1939 and released in 1957.

Since the fruit and tree characteristics of Olinda Valencia are considered to be indistinguishable from Frost Valencia, the chance seedling is now thought to have a nucellar origin and to be genetically the same as Frost Valencia.
